January 1st 2007 Salt Lake City, Utah - In early 2004 the owners of Utahfairways.com, an online directory of Utah Golf Courses, formed  The Beehive Golf Trail as a co-operative marketing platform to promote golf travel into Utah, and more specifically Northern Utah. Recently the staff chose to re-name the concept to Utah Golf Trail, for ease of knowledge of what they were marketing out of state. Although most Utahn's know about the Beehive State, 85% of their website traffic reflected out of state travelers. Thus the decision was made to use the descriptive and to-the-point name of Utah Golf Trail.
